I first heard about Cupshe swimsuits when one of their one-pieces went viral and the budget-friendly prices and rave reviews had me intrigued.
It turns out that if you’re looking for affordable swimwear, solid quality and trendy details, there are literally hundreds of looks to choose from at Cupshe, from bikinis and tankinis to one-piece and tummy control styles.
And when I tried on a few models for myself, I was impressed with the level of quality from the fabric, to the fit, lining and details - and of course the price is a huge bonus! These amazing swimsuits are under $40, and start at just $27.99, making it so easy to stock up for summer.
At Cupshe, there are a lot – and I mean a LOT – of options, including the just-launched Cupshe x JoJo Fletcher collab, and the brand thankfully makes it easier to shop by helping you filter out what you like. Going beyond color or size options (and yes, there are plus-size swimsuits, up to 4XL) you can sort by detail, like ruching, tummy control or adjustable straps, as well as current season trends and “Cupshe vibes”.

How I chose the best swimwear looks for this edit
- Tummy control & bust support: I made sure to include top-rated swimsuits from Cupshe’s popular tummy control line, as well as picks with adjustable straps, underwire and halters.
- Trends: While it’s tempting to just shop black swimsuits when it comes to ‘flattering’ looks, I wanted to include trends like florals, mesh cutouts, ruffles and leopard print, all swimwear trends for 2024.
- Verified reviews and ratings: I personally tested many of these looks, but for ones I wasn't able to try on for myself, I scoured the opinions from verified shoppers and only selected looks that aren’t only flattering but also boast solid, top ratings, too.

The little black swimsuit
Flattering features
- Asymmetrical neckline
- Tummy Control
- Peek-a-boo mesh panels
- Classic standard bottom coverage
Editor's note: “I didn’t think this swimsuit would work on my figure - then I put it on and it fit like a glove. Mesh is such a great way to embrace the cutout trend without giving up tummy control. This one-piece is chic, sexy and expensive-looking, and it will be in my suitcase for my next five-star sunny vacation.”
The trending ruffles
Flattering features
- Ruffled v-neck
- Flutter straps for subtle arm/shoulder coverage
- Adjustable lace-up back
- Side rouching
Editor's note: “This swimsuit is a new-season take on Cupshe’s viral ruffle swimsuit in a whole new colorway - a gorgeous moss green and dusty rose floral - it’s a great choice if you want to show off your assets but still be comfortable. I found it to be so flattering and feminine when I put it on, and the back, with the ruffles and a tie-back lace-up detail is so pretty."
The minimalist modern
Flattering features
- Cross back tie straps
- Shoulder cut-outs
- Tummy Control
Editor's note: "This swimsuit is a new favorite in my wardrobe, and the double straps add visual interest to the otherwise simple silhouette. This sophisticated minimalist brick shade is Kim Kardashian-worthy but the swimsuit comes in six other colors if that earthy hue isn’t your style.”"
The classic one-piece
Flattering features
- Adjustable straps
- High bust support
- Tummy Control
- Retro full bum coverage
Editor's note: “If you want something more modest with wider straps, but that still makes a statement, this color definitely has the wow-factor. This swimsuit silhouette really works for so many body types - and sizing goes from XS up to 4XL.”
The best seller
Flattering features
- V-neckline
- Wide straps
- Ruched waist
Editor's note: "Cupshe shoppers also love a classic black-looks-good-on-everyone swimsuit, as demonstrated by the fact that this pared-down ribbed one-piece is top seller! If you love the silhouette but want it in color, there's good news - there are four other colorways to choose from."
The tankini
Flattering features
- Ruched drawstring sides
- Sweetheart neckline
- Adjustable straps
- High-waisted bottoms
Editor's note: "For comfort and coverage you really can’t beat a tankini. Cupshe’s look comes in two combos - this cute green ditsy floral or the signature multi-colored leopard print with a black top."
The statement leopard print
Flattering features
- V-neckline
- O-ring accent on the back
- Tummy Control
- Shirring detail
- Adjustable cami straps
- Classic bottom coverage
Editor's note: "How amazing is this bold neon leopard print? And I can tell you that it’s even cooler when you see it in person. This is one of the swimwear brand’s more simple silhouette but the print and the O-ring back give it real impact."
The underwire bikini
Flattering features
- Fit-friendly mix and match sizing for top and bottoms
- Underwire top with adjustable straps for good bust support
- High-waisted V-front bikini bottoms with leg-lengthening high-cut leg
Editor's note: "If you’re larger on top than you are on the bottom (or vice versa), you’ll love the Cupshe bikinis with mix-and-match sizing. LIke this 90s-inspired color block look that comes in four different shades. Choose a bikini top from XS to XL, then select the size for the bottoms."
The multi-way
Flattering features
- Tummy control
- Tie back
- Rouching
- Convertible neckline
- Classic bottom coverage
Editor's note: “There’s nothing better than a swimsuit that you can personally tailor-make to your style and the one-shoulder multi-way fits the bill. The medium bust-support one-piece can be worn with an asymmetrical one shoulder neckline or as a halter, and the cross tie back allows you to adjust the snugness, too.”
The halter neck
Flattering features
- Adjustable tie neck halter straps
- Tummy Control
- Power Mesh
Editor's note: “Tie neck halter swimsuits are among my favorites because of how flattering the neckline is and how it makes it so easy to adjust the support for your bust.”
Not only am I a shopping editor but I’m also someone who can empathize with shoppers who struggle to find flattering swimwear, and through my experience I’ve learned what styles work on all different body types. Flattering swimwear can come in many forms - halter styles and underwire for bust support and tummy control looks are top sellers - and I think everyone should have at least one suits-everyone little black swimsuit (basically, the poolside version of an LBD) in their wardrobe.
And I get it - swimsuit shopping can be so stressful but creating this edit was actually really fun because there are so many looks with great details for the most figure flattering effect, like ruching, high waisted bikini bottoms or multi-way styling so you can get a custom look you want.
And be sure to check out these swimsuits from the back as well. One of my favorite things about the swimsuit brand is attention to the back of the swimsuit. Not only is there great coverage but there are so many fun elements like lace-up or O-ring backs, that will make sure you look just as good leaving as you did arriving!
